Dr Chetan Narshi
I am a Consultant Rheumatologist and General Physician with over 20 years of clinical experience.
I trained at Cambridge University and University College London.
I practice privately at the Chiltern and Shelburne Hospitals. I also run NHS clinics at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Wycombe Hospital and Amersham Hospital, encompassing all aspects of rheumatology. I was previously head of Rheumatology at Buckshealthcare NHS Trust during the height of the coronavirus pandemic. I am the current local Early Arthritis pathway lead. I have attained EULAR Intermediate level in musculoskeletal ultrasound.
I am an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Buckingham and actively teach both medical undergraduates and postgraduates. I am the Rheumatology Education lead and Musculoskeletal Undergraduate Block lead at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. I also supervise specialist nurses, specialty pharmacists and doctors in training at all levels.

My Background
I commenced my medical training at the University of Cambridge, where I am a Hooper scholar at Emmanuel College, obtaining a post-graduate Master’s degree in Pathology. My undergraduate medical training was completed at the University College London Medical School, London in 2002. I worked at the Royal Free Hospital before completion of my foundational general medical training at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital. After passing the postgraduate Royal College of Physicians examination, I underwent higher specialist training in Rheumatology and General Medicine in North Thames Deanery in London, including training at University College London Hospital, The Royal London Hospital and Imperial Healthcare NHS Trust.
After completion of training, I led a tertiary centre early arthritis service at Charing Cross Hospital, Imperial Healthcare NHS Trust, London before being substantively appointed at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust in 2014.
I became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 2019.
